your prayers at work
MARCH 2019 UPDATE & THE RESULTS OF YOUR PRAYERS
We would like to first wish you and your family a very happy Persian New Year, Happy Passover, and Happy Resurrection Day!
Thank you for your continued prayers for GCM. This quarter we will be focusing our prayers toward Church Planting, Evangelism, and Discipleship in Restricted Islamic Nations. These nations receive less that 10% of all financial giving toward Missions- that is why we are on the frontlines, going to the places that are the hardest to penetrate where others can’t, or won’t go. Your prayers for us last month we’re such an encouragement! Our leaders were able to get away for a leadership advance where they were ministered to, trained, and encouraged. This Summit was the result of the Giving Tuesday campaign back in November. We want to give a special thank you to everyone who partnered financially with us to make that Summit happen. Thank you for praying for continued wisdom for leaders and expansion throughout the Muslim World!
As we were focusing on GCM expansion last month, and you prayed for us, we trained frontline workers in 5 Restricted-Access nations! We have been very encouraged by more getting involved in GCM’s prayer team- Please continue sending encouraging words and prayers to our frontline workers: email@example.com
This month’s PRAYER points
APRIL PRAYER POINTS
PRAY FOR MATURE GROWTH IN OUR DISCIPLESHIP NETWORK
Pray for all of our leaders, that they would grow in maturity and wisdom and receive greater discernment from the Holy Spirit. (Eph. 1:17-19)
Pray for all the new believers, that their faith would be made strong and that their growth would be expedited, as the days are evil and there is great need for more Pastors and Leaders. Pray that they would have deep roots in the Word, that they would be rooted and grounded in love and humility, and that there would be significant unity within each Bible Study Group and House Church. (Col. 1:9-10)
PRAY FOR MARRIAGES AND FAMILIES
Please pray for the strengthening of each married couple, the couples who are serving the Lord to have strong, vibrant marriages that reflect God’s true design which is very different than the way it may look to Muslims in our context. Also, for those who have come to Christ, but their spouse has not yet. (Ephesians 3:16-19)
Pray for grace for them, to walk in righteousness as they witness the love of Christ to them.
Pray for the children in our network, ask the Lord to strengthen them with faith and love that would expel any fear they may be carrying as they secretly have to keep quiet about Jesus at school and around the play yards. (2 Tim. 1:7)
“Father, we ask that you would guard and protect our brothers and sisters in the Middle East. Guard them from distractions, disappointments, and anything that would come to take their minds off of Christ and hearing Your voice. Father we ask You would surround them with Your presence and give them ease to hear Your words, your leading, O Holy Spirit. We know their confidence is found in hearing Your voice, and then they will have no fear of harm, in the name of Jesus, amen.”
GLOBAL PRAYER FOCUS
As we are praying for the expansion of GCM through Evangelism, Discipleship, and Church Planting, we would like to pray for our vision of 1000 house-churches throughout the Middle East. This map below shows the most Restricted Access Nations- that is, the places where it is the most dangerous to be a Christian according to the research of Open Doors.
Prayer targets for Evangelism throughout the Middle East
Pray for more persons of peace to be discovered throughout regions of extreme persecution by disciple makers. (These are people who are the gateway to large networks of those whose hearts have been prepared by the Lord to receive the Gospel.) (Luke 10)
Pray for the Bible Study Groups that are taking place right now where Muslims are discovering the truth of who the Father God is and Jesus Christ the true and living God. Pray that Muslims who are being interacted with would have power-encounters with Jesus that would direct and affirm their faith toward Christ.
Pray for disciple makers to have an increased level of supernatural discernment. That they would have wisdom to areas of access (areas such as medical work, counseling, business, etc.) and increased clarity in hearing the Lord during times of prayer and fasting. Clarity to hear from the Lord regarding their tactics for evangelism, which relationships to pursue, which networks to invest more time in, etc.
