#GivingTuesday is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving and harnesses the generosity of people around the world to bring about real change. It provides a platform for people to encourage the donation of time, resources and talents. It also brings together the collective power of a unique blend of partners— nonprofits, civic organizations, businesses and corporations, as well as families and individuals—to encourage and amplify small acts of generosity. As a global movement, #GivingTuesday unites countries around the world by sharing our capacity to care for and empower one another.

This year’s #GivingTuesday funds will be going toward our 2019 Leadership Summit. Since 2011, GCM leaders have developed a resilient ministry team birthed out of a context of Christian persecution. They have faced arrests of hundreds of leaders and secret police infiltration in thousands of groups. Since 2017, GCM’s newest disciple-making initiative has established 438 new Bible study groups and 134 self-replicating house churches in restricted Muslim countries. GCM’s disciple makers are persistent in their efforts, day in and day out, and are committed to initiating conversations about God whenever the Holy Spirit prompts them and wherever they are. Consider the efforts of just one of our disciple makers who 1) coaches 48 other disciple makers, 2) has helped establish 102 Bible study groups and 51 house churches, and 3) is now also part of a team to multiply disciple makers in another restricted Islamic nation.

To address the need for refreshing and renewal for our leaders, our 2019 Leadership Summit will offer a much needed time of encouragement through rest, worship, fellowship, training, and cross-cultural interaction with other Christians from around the world. Away from their national contexts, these leaders can have the freedom to let down their guard—a rare gift for them! This Summit will provide much needed refreshing, capacity building and renewal of our disciple maker’s commitment to achieve the goals of expanding the number of self-replicating house churches in two key restricted Islamic nations.

  • An international team of teachers will provide up to 30 training session options designed to equip our leaders in their personal relationship with God, as well as their ministry within key sectors of society.

  • Two of the Summit days will be set aside for rest and enjoyment of the local culture.

  • Our leaders will have interaction time with guests and teachers to amplify their global perspective.

We have a generous donor who will match up to $10,000 given toward this summit on #GivingTuesday, NOVEMBER 27, 2018. When you give during this 24-hour time, all monies will go toward the funding of this project. Thank you for your prayerful consideration of partnering with Global Catalytic Ministries on this special project. You are a valuable part of this ministry!
